Regions Queenstown Arvida Queenstown Country Club residents are exhibiting the sort of self-sufficiency made famous by actors Felicity Kendal and Richard Briers in the popular British sitcom, The Good Life . The 234-strong community is enjoying the fruits of their passionate resident gardeners’ labours in the form of bountiful fresh produce that’s being harvested weekly. Pictured, from left, are residents Lois Hansen, Joy Hunter and Judith Tabuteau with some of their crops. The gardeners charge a modest fee to fund the upkeep of the garden and the next round of planting. Resident and community gardener Lynn Emmanuel says the benefits go beyond just supplying nutritious veggies. "It keeps residents active and doing things for their wider community. "Everyone does their bit, and the garden offers jobs for all levels of fitness." Village manager Mike Clay says the dedication of their gardeners is remarkable.…
