That's exactly what happened when the coaster stalled at the top — and instead of the usual screaming descent, adrenaline rush, and mild questioning of mortality, riders got a very different kind of ride update. They were led down a steep emergency staircase bolted alongside the track by maintenance workers who looked about as thrilled as the riders. One careful step at a time, all the way down, with the full park laid out below them and no handy distraction of speed to get them through it. The video captures the particular joy of strangers united by shared misfortune at a fairly extreme altitude. There's nothing like expecting loops and speed and ending up on what amounts to a very high-altitude group hike you did not train for. Luckily, everyone made it off safely.…
