The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra feels like an incremental refinement rather than a transformative upgrade over the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Yet early sales prove that it is more popular. Samsung has been playing the same game for years, and it continues to pay off. The Galaxy S26 Ultra resonates most with those users upgrading from older models. The new Privacy Display is one of the standout additions despite not being a perfect implementation. Add the redesigned S Pen and the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and it makes it a compelling evolution. Taken together, the Galaxy S26 Ultra feels like a serious contender, even for a Google Pixel user like me. And there's a legitimate case for switching to the Galaxy device: a more capable and efficient processor, faster charging, and a horizontal lock video stabilization feature, among others. These also nearly pushed me to switch my flawed but beloved Google Pixel 9 Pro XL to Samsung's latest flagship.…
