A alleged assault on a patron at The Famous Grouse bar in Lincoln is now being investigated by police. The incident on May 6 was caught on video and shows two security staff kicking and hitting the man after he was removed from the bar area. The footage shows two men continuing to confront the patron outside the bar on Gerald St. A police spokesperson told the New Zealand Herald the incident is being investigated. "We did receive a report of this, through 105, on 8 May. Inquiries are ongoing,” the spokesperson said. "Anyone who has information they would like to share can do so through our 105 service, quoting reference number 260508/0569." Pub co-owner Shaughn McNab provided a statement about the alleged assault to the Herald last week. "We are undertaking a thorough review of what occurred with our independent security firm,” he said.
