There are woodworking events, and then there are weekends that stay with you long after you leave. Plane Wellness and Hand Tool Haven in Butler, Pennsylvania was one of those experiences. Held at the Big Butler Fairgrounds, the event brought together woodworkers, educators, toolmakers, collectors, media partners, sponsors, and volunteers from across the country for a weekend centered around hand tools, traditional craftsmanship, and the kind of community that feels increasingly rare today. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt different. People were not rushing from booth to booth looking for the next transaction. They stopped to talk.
