Southwest Unveils “Independence One” Boeing 737 For America250 Celebration Southwest Airlines announced a partnership with America250 and introduced “Independence One,” a specially painted Boeing 737 that will join the carrier’s growing fleet of patriotic-themed aircraft. The plane officially enters service on April 29, with its first scheduled flight from Dallas (DAL) to Philadelphia (PHL). The new aircraft joins “Freedom One,” introduced in 2021, and “Liberty One,” another newly unveiled patriotic aircraft. Southwest says the program celebrates both the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and the airline’s own 55-year history of connecting communities across the United States.…
