Police have made an arrest after a Green Party rally in Hastings was disrupted by agitators who unfurled flags and used a megaphone, while one man gave a series of Nazi salutes, The Independent has learned. A 62-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody, Sussex Police said. The incident occurred on Thursday while Green party leader Zack Polanski , who is Jewish, was addressing hundreds of supporters in the seaside town whose council is controlled by the Greens, and ahead of local elections next week. As soon as Mr Polanski began speaking, a group of men standing in one corner above the courtyard where the crowd had gathered lowered a megaphone and attempted to speak over the politician. Meanwhile two men unfurled a Reform UK flag and another held a St George's Cross flag above the Green Party leader. During the disturbance, one man who was standing with those holding the flags, performed at least three Nazi salutes – witnessed by The Independent – and caught on camera.…
