Schmigadoon!, the Broadway musical comedy that was nominated for 12 Tony Awards Tuesday, has announced a four-month extension “due to popular demand,” producers said today.

The Best Musical nominee at the Nederlander Theatre will now play through January 3, 2027, a 17-week addition beyond the original closing date of September 6, 2026.

Schmigadoon!, a loving parody of various Golden Age Broadway musicals, stars, among others, Alex Brightman, along with Sara Chase and Ana Gasteyer, both Tony nominees.

From Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels, the comedy is directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli with a book and Escore by Cinco Paul. Schmigadoon! opened on Broadway on Monday, April 20. Read Deadline’s review here.
