Pet owners nationwide are being urged to check their freezers after a popular U.S. dog food brand issued a recall for one of its chicken products due to possible salmonella contamination . Indiana-based dog food company, Albright's Raw Pet Food, is recalling its Chicken Recipe for Dogs Complete and Balanced with an expiration date of April 28, 2027. The product could be contaminated with salmonella , a bacterium that causes food poisoning , with symptoms in pets including vomiting and a decreased appetite. The recalled pouches were distributed to consumers nationwide and to a small number of retailers in Massachusetts, California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Wisconsin and New York.
