Can anyone using a body waxing pot tell me if there is any downside to this method vs say the silca wax pot for chain waxing

Hi everybody, I waxed my chain for the first time and now it seems like my cassette, cranks and basicly to whole drive train is sluggish. What can be the problem? Is there a wrong way to mount your chain?
