Stocks are rallying so fast it's creating a volatility dynamic that's only been seen four times in history.

Volatility in the S&P 500 as measured by the Cboe VIX Index ended down on Tuesday, despite a brief pop to 19.01, the highest since April 28.

Retail traders are buying calls in Cboe's "Mag 10" stocks – the big seven plus AMD, Palantir and Broadcom – at the heaviest 10-day clip since 2021, according to a report from the exchange.
