This year, over 15.3 lakh students took JEE Main, compared to around 14 lakh last year. Since only about 2.5 lakh candidates across categories qualify for JEE Advanced, the percentile required to be in that pool rises as participation increases.
IIT Roorkee, the organizing institute for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026, released the admit card on May 11, 2026. The last date to access the admit card is May 17, 2026 till 2:30 pm IST.
The programmes seek to offer foundational curriculum over the initial semesters, combining core courses in engineering, mathematics, and computational methods.
The programme, launched in June 2022, has so far seen participation from over 3.19 lakh school and college students, graduates and working professionals.
